Great Time at the Canfield's

Everyone had a great time at the Canfield's on Saturday. It was a fun filled evening where we could play like kids (for some of us, away from the kids). We were able to snack on some good appetizers and desserts before we went on to the fun stuff.

Some of us decided to check out the NFL DVD in the home theater and some others went on to the "man cave" to play pinball. Eventually, most of us ended up playing with (or watching) the Wii bowling.

Everyone had a great time.

Feature Presentation at This Saturday's Social

I hope you can make it to the Sunday School Social this weekend at the Canfield's. Last year everyone wanted to check out the home theater system, but nobody really wanted to watch a whole movie. So, we came up with some alternatives this time around. We have a Casting Crowns DVD (The Altar and the Door Live) and an NFL DVD featuring three of the top quarterbacks in the NFL: Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, and Tom Brady.

Details about the social are in the post below.

REMINDER: Invite Someone to the August Social

Invite Someone
Even though the socials and this blog greatly benefit us, they are also a part of the ministry of our Sunday School class and should be taken advantage of to help spread the word of Jesus Christ.

This is a great opportunity to invite someone to get to know our class (which as a result makes it easier to invite them to join us at church on Sundays).

This social is going to be a lot of fun thanks to the Canfields for being so great in letting us use their home (and toys) and also to the FBC staff for providing childcare.

Here are the Details:
August 23rd 6p.m.-9p.m.
Come and play @ the Canfields
The Canfields have a home theater as well as
a game room with pinball machines and a pool table.

Chicken strips will be provided,
but we will need appetizers and desserts.
Please let April know what you’re bringing.

Childcare will be provided so the big kids can play.
Drop off will be @ 6:00 and the kiddos need to be picked up by 9:00.
If you need childcare let April know as soon as possible.

Contact April to RSVP and for directions

April @ 554-5206 or aprilmadrid@msn.com
